About Micro Therapy FL

Small Steps Towards Big Results

At Micro Therapy FL, therapy isn’t about dramatic breakthroughs or sudden transformation.
It’s about small, steady steps—the kind that feel doable, supportive, and aligned with the pace of your life.

Every session begins with a simple question:
Where are you today?
Not where you “should” be. Not where others expect you to be.
Where you are emotionally, mentally, and energetically in this moment.

From there, we work together to create a plan that feels realistic and grounded.

I draw from a combination of evidence-based practices—including CBT, mindfulness, narrative techniques, EMDR principles, and solution-focused strategies—to shape a therapy experience that’s tailored to your needs. But the approach is always collaborative. We explore, adapt, and adjust together.

The goal is to help you build practical tools you can use outside the session, not just insight during it. Whether it’s a grounding exercise, a reframing technique, a communication plan, or a small behavioral shift, you’ll leave each session with something tangible you can apply whenever life gets noisy.

With time, these micro steps add up.
They lead to greater clarity, emotional balance, and a deeper sense of self—without pressure, overwhelm, or unrealistic expectations.

Together, we focus on progress, not perfection.
And we do it at the pace that’s right for you.

Meet Michael Ross, MSW, RCSWI

Hi, I’m Michael — a therapist who shows up with warmth, curiosity, and a genuine commitment to helping people feel more grounded in their lives.

I’m a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSWI) with experience supporting individuals, couples, teens, and adults across a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. I currently work full-time at a mental health treatment center while building Micro Therapy FL as a space for focused, individualized care.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than a decade in marketing and leadership roles. That experience shaped my understanding of people in a unique way: how they communicate, how they carry stress, how they navigate pressure, and how easy it is to lose yourself when you’re trying to keep everything together. It taught me how to listen, collaborate, think creatively, and meet people exactly where they are — all skills that now deeply inform my clinical work.

Clients often tell me that therapy with me feels comfortable, real, and relatable. I’m engaged in session, not distant. I ask meaningful questions, bring a sense of groundedness, and offer insight without judgment. Humor shows up when it fits; quiet presence shows up when that’s what you need.

I’ve worked with clients navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, identity exploration, family dynamics, emotional overwhelm, trauma histories, and major life transitions. I’m also experienced working with diverse individuals and clients who feel pressure to constantly “perform” or “hold it all together.”

What drives my work is simple:
helping people feel seen, supported, and capable of making meaningful shifts — without pressure or perfectionism.

Outside of therapy, I’m someone who values mindfulness, family, creativity, fitness, and time outdoors. Those parts of my life help me stay balanced, present, and fully invested in the people I work with.

At Micro Therapy FL, you’ll find a therapist who’s human, steady, thoughtful, and genuinely in your corner.
